Helplines for children and young people
Many people, including children and young people experience times of emotional distress or worry during their lives. Sometimes children and young people struggle to know whether their feelings are normal or how to access help to manage them.

Suicide and the media
We work with the Samaritans Media Advisory Service in assisting our local media to deliver information sensitively when reporting on suicide and suicidal behaviour.

Samaritans have launched an online harms advisory service, providing free and confidential specialist advice on issues relating to self-harm and suicide content online.

Suicide Safer Communities
Building communities where people are safe from suicide brings together shared actions towards preventing suicide. Building a Suicide Safe Community demonstrates that we are all taking our responsibility seriously, playing our part, that it is not all down to the individual and that our community is looking out for people.
